Pakistan Hosts Diplomatic Summit to End Escalating Iran War

Foreign ministers from key regional powers meet in Islamabad to find a path to de-escalate the widening conflict between Iran and its neighbors.
In a diplomatic push to end the escalating war between Iran and its neighbors, foreign ministers from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt are gathering in Islamabad today for high-level talks. The meeting comes as the conflict has drawn in a new player - Yemen's Houthi rebel group - further expanding the regional crisis.
The talks in the Pakistani capital aim to establish a plan to de-escalate the tensions and find a diplomatic solution to the spiraling violence. The region has been on edge since Iran's conflict with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states erupted into open warfare several months ago. Now, with the Houthis joining the fray, the war has become even more complex and dangerous.
