Philadelphia, the city known for its love of cheesesteaks, has officially set a new Guinness World Record for the Longest Line of Cheesesteaks. The impressive feat took place at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), where a staggering 1,200-foot line of the iconic sandwich stretched across the B/C connectors.
The ambitious endeavor was a collaborative effort, with more than 100 employees and volunteers coming together to assemble the meaty masterpiece. Using a staggering 990 pounds of Philly's Best Steak and 225 pounds of cheese sauce, the team crafted an endless line of foot-long cheesesteaks that took about an hour to complete.
The record-breaking event was a true testament to Philadelphia's culinary pride and the city's unwavering love for its signature dish. TSA agents, who had gone unpaid for weeks due to the ongoing government shutdown, were able to indulge in the delicious results, savoring the fruits of this meaty labor.
