Pilot Survives Dramatic Beach Crash in Hampshire

A light aircraft crashed onto a beach in Gosport, Hampshire, with the pilot emerging and being assessed by emergency services. Eyewitnesses describe a loud impact from the rocks.
Gosport, Hampshire - In a dramatic incident on the coast of southern England, a pilot of a light aircraft managed to escape unharmed after crash-landing his plane on a beach in Gosport, Hampshire. The single-engine plane went into the sea near the town of Lee-on-the-Solent, with eyewitnesses reporting a loud crashing sound from the rocks as the aircraft hit the sand.
According to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight fire and rescue service, the pilot had already exited the aircraft by the time firefighters arrived at the scene. The pilot was then assessed by the ambulance service, but thankfully appeared to have suffered no serious injuries from the crash landing.
