Practical Steps to Combat the Global Energy Crisis

The International Energy Agency recommends adopting energy-saving measures like driving slower, working remotely, and adjusting cooking habits to ease the ongoing energy price crisis.
In response to the global energy price crisis, the International Energy Agency (IEA) is urging people to adopt a series of practical steps to reduce their energy consumption and alleviate the burden on households and businesses. The IEA's recommendations focus on changing how people travel, work, and cook in their daily lives.
One of the key suggestions from the IEA is for people to drive more slowly on the roads. By reducing their speed, drivers can significantly improve the fuel efficiency of their vehicles, helping to conserve scarce and expensive fuel supplies. The agency estimates that driving at 100 km/h (62 mph) instead of 120 km/h (75 mph) can improve a car's fuel economy by up to 10%.
