The UK's Home Office has launched an investigation into a company with ties to the controversial Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL) sect over allegations of improper use of immigration visas.
The AROPL, based in Cheshire, England, is a religious movement that blends elements of Islam with conspiracy theories about the Illuminati and aliens controlling US presidents. Followers of the sect believe their leader, Abdullah Hashem, possesses supernatural powers to heal the sick and even make the moon disappear.
Visa Abuse Concerns
Officials are now looking into the use of immigration visas by a company connected to the AROPL. Around 100 of the sect's followers currently reside in a former orphanage located in Crewe, in northwest England.
