Samsung's Latest Galaxy A57: Thinner, Faster, and More Expensive

Samsung's new midrange Galaxy A57 gets an upgrade with a thinner design, improved specs, and IP68 water resistance - but at a higher price point.
Samsung has unveiled its latest midrange smartphones, the Galaxy A57 and A37, both of which boast some notable upgrades over their predecessors. The standout model is the A57, which now features a slimmer and lighter design while also incorporating improved AI capabilities and IP68 water resistance.
The $549.99 Galaxy A57 is Samsung's direct competitor to the $499 Google Pixel 10A and the $599 iPhone 17E. To help it stand out, Samsung has slimmed down the phone to just 6.9mm thick, which is noticeably thinner than either of its main rivals. The weight has also been reduced to 179g, making the A57 a more portable and lightweight option.
