Tech Troubles Halt Nationwide Naplan Testing for Over 1 Million Students

Australia's national student assessment test, Naplan, faces widespread login and tech issues on its first day, leading to a nationwide pause for 1.4 million students.
Australian students across the country faced a frustrating start to their annual Naplan assessments as widespread technology issues halted the nationwide testing for over 1.4 million primary and secondary students. The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (Acara) announced on Wednesday morning that schools had been instructed to pause the tests after students experienced widespread problems logging into the online platform to access the assessments.
In a statement, Acara said it was aware of the widespread issue affecting students and their ability to log on and complete the Naplan tests. The authority did not provide specifics on the technical problems, but confirmed that schools across Australia had been told to suspend the testing for the day while the issues were investigated and resolved.
