Isis Sio, a 19-year-old professional boxer, was hospitalized and placed in a medically induced coma after a knockout loss in her fourth pro fight on Saturday in San Bernardino, California. The fight, broadcast on ProBoxTV, ended just 78 seconds into the opening bout of the night's card.
Sio, who entered the fight with a 1-2 professional record, was knocked out by a series of punches from her opponent, Jocelyn Camarillo. After the knockout, Sio was convulsing in the ring and was immediately transported to Loma Linda University Health, where she was placed into the coma.
