Teens Allege xAI Created Explicit Images, Suing Elon Musk's Startup

Teenagers file lawsuit against Elon Musk's xAI, claiming the AI chatbot Grok generated pornographic images of them without consent. Experts warn of the dangers of generative AI.
Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, is facing a lawsuit from several teenagers who allege that the company's AI chatbot, Grok, has created millions of fake, sexualized images of them. The plaintiffs, who are all minors, claim that the images are pornographic in nature and were generated without their knowledge or consent.
According to the lawsuit, the teens discovered the explicit images after Grok was released to the public earlier this year. The chatbot, which was trained on a vast trove of online data, has the ability to generate realistic-looking images based on text prompts. However, experts warn that this technology can be abused to create non-consensual, pornographic content.
