Tensions Flare as Israel Strikes Iranian Nuclear Facilities

Israel conducts airstrikes on Iranian uranium enrichment sites and steel plants, prompting IRGC warnings of retaliation. Details on the latest escalation of the nuclear standoff.
Israel has launched a series of airstrikes targeting key Iranian nuclear facilities, including a uranium enrichment site, steel plants, and a heavy water complex, in a significant escalation of the long-standing tensions between the two countries. The strikes, which reportedly took place over the past 24 hours, have been met with stern warnings of retaliation from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The targets of the Israeli attacks included the Fordow uranium enrichment facility, located deep underground near the city of Qom, as well as steel plants in Khuzestan province and a heavy water production complex in Arak. These facilities are all considered crucial components of Iran's nuclear program, which Israel has long viewed as a threat to its national security.
