Tensions Rise: Europe's Next-Gen Fighter Jet Project at Risk of Collapse

Dassault Aviation warns the €100bn fighter jet program may soon be 'dead' if Airbus refuses to cooperate on work sharing, raising concerns over the future of Europe's defense capabilities.
Dassault Aviation, the leading French warplane maker, has issued a stark warning about the future of Europe's next-generation fighter jet project, stating that the €100 billion program may soon be 'dead' if Airbus's defense arm, representing Germany and Spain, does not agree on a plan to share the workload.
The joint fighter jet program, known as the Future Combat Air System (FCAS), is a crucial initiative to develop a new generation of combat aircraft for France, Germany, and Spain. However, the project has been marred by a worsening corporate rift between the two leading defense companies tasked with its delivery.
