The UK government announces a major overhaul of the WaterSure program, reducing bills for around 300,000 low-income households across the country.
In a significant move aimed at providing relief to financially-strained households, the UK government has announced the biggest reform of the WaterSure program in nearly three decades. This initiative will result in lower water bills for approximately 300,000 low-income families across the country.
The WaterSure scheme, which was first introduced in 1999, is designed to assist customers who have a large family or suffer from certain medical conditions that require high water usage. Under the updated guidelines, the eligibility criteria have been expanded, making it more accessible to those in need.
