High Point, a tiny North Carolina university, pulled off a stunning upset over fifth-seeded Wisconsin in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The 12-seed Panthers defeated the Big Ten contenders 83-82 in a dramatic finish, delivering one of the first major surprises of this year's March Madness.
Chase Johnston, High Point's leading scorer, came up big in the clutch, making a decisive layup with just 11.7 seconds remaining to give the Panthers the narrow victory. Johnston finished with 14 points, including four three-pointers, despite struggling from inside the arc earlier in the game.
