Top House Dem Demands Answers on Missing Trump-Epstein Files

A prominent House Democrat is pressing the Justice Department to explain the disappearance of documents related to Trump's ties to Jeffrey Epstein, following an NPR investigation.
Top House Democrat Rep. Robert Garcia is demanding answers from the Justice Department about the apparent disappearance of dozens of pages of files related to former President Trump's connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The request comes after an NPR investigation uncovered the missing documents, which were previously part of the public record.
In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Garcia, the ranking member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, expressed deep concern over the vanished files, which could shed light on the nature of Trump's relationship with Epstein. The two wealthy men were known to travel in the same social circles in New York and Florida for years prior to Epstein's arrest and subsequent suicide in 2019.
