Tragedy struck a small village in Essex, UK as a 19-year-old woman lost her life in a horrific dog attack. The victim, identified as Jamie-Lea Biscoe, was found with serious injuries by emergency services who were called to a property in Long Hide, Leaden Roding on Friday night.
According to police, a 37-year-old man from Dunmow has been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control, causing injury resulting in death. The man has been released on bail until July as the investigation continues.
The canine involved in the attack was a family pet, believed to be a lurcher cross. Authorities have seized the dog and are working to formally establish its breed through testing.
