Tragic Farming Accident: Israel Admits Artillery Strike, Not Hezbollah

Israel acknowledges its own artillery caused the death of a farmer near the Lebanese border, contradicting initial claims of a Hezbollah rocket attack. The tragic incident highlights the complex regional tensions.
Israel has acknowledged that its own artillery, not a Hezbollah rocket, was responsible for the death of a farmer near the Lebanese border last week. The admission comes after initial reports claimed the farmer, Ofer Moskovitz, was killed by a Hezbollah rocket attack.
Moskovitz, 60, was killed while tending to his avocado farm in northern Israel, just a few hundred meters from the Lebanese border. Israeli officials had initially blamed the incident on a Hezbollah rocket, heightening tensions in the region. However, a military investigation has now determined that Israeli artillery fire was the actual cause of Moskovitz's death.
