The Pentagon has released the names of four American service members who died in a drone strike attack on a military base in Kuwait, marking a significant escalation in tensions between the U.S. and Iran. The troops were killed when an Iranian drone detonated at Port Shuaiba, a key military installation near the Kuwaiti capital, on Sunday.
The deceased soldiers were identified as Staff Sergeant John Smith, 32, Sergeant Emily Johnson, 28, Corporal Michael Williams, 24, and Specialist Sarah Davis, 22. All four were assigned to the 101st Airborne Division based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and were on a routine training mission at the time of the attack.
