UK Calls for Preserving Palestine to Maintain Two-State Solution

UK urges UN Security Council to safeguard land and people of Palestine, maintaining viability of two-state resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In a powerful statement delivered at the United Nations Security Council, the United Kingdom has emphasized the critical importance of preserving the land and people of Palestine to maintain the viability of a two-state solution to the longstanding Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Speaking on behalf of the UK, Ambassador James Kariuki, the UK Chargé d'Affaires to the UN, underscored the need to protect the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people, while also safeguarding the possibility of a negotiated settlement that would see the creation of an independent Palestinian state living in peace alongside Israel.
