The United Kingdom has strongly condemned Iran's recent missile and drone strikes across the Middle East, calling for immediate de-escalation and accountability for the destabilizing actions. In a statement delivered at the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in the Middle East, Ambassador James Kariuki, the UK's Chargé d'Affaires to the UN, decried Iran's provocative attacks targeting civilians and infrastructure in Iraq, Syria, and other neighboring countries.
Kariuki emphasized that the UK stands in solidarity with its partners in the region and will continue to support their efforts to defend their sovereignty and security. He urged Iran to cease its destabilizing behavior and engage constructively to reduce tensions through diplomatic channels.
