Liz Kendall, the Secretary of State for Digital, Science, and Innovation Technology (DSIT), has penned a letter to major online service providers outlining the government's plans to tackle this pressing issue.
The letter, which has been sent to tech giants such as Meta, Google, and Twitter, underscores the government's determination to create a safer digital landscape for women and girls. Kendall emphasizes that the rise in online harassment, sexual abuse, and other forms of violence targeting this demographic is unacceptable and must be addressed with urgency.
