UK-Taiwan Businesses Flourish: AI and Green Energy Collaborations Soar

The UK-Taiwan business relationship is flourishing, as evidenced by a record high level of satisfaction among Taiwanese companies operating in the UK, according to a new survey. The survey, conducted by the UK-Taiwan All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), reveals that Taiwanese firms are increasingly interested in collaborating with the UK in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, as well as renewable energy.
The survey, which polled over 100 Taiwanese companies with operations in the UK, found that 92% of respondents were satisfied with their UK business activities, the highest level recorded since the survey's inception. This positive sentiment is driven by a range of factors, including the UK's strong talent pool, robust infrastructure, and favorable regulatory environment.

The survey found that 78% of Taiwanese companies in the UK are interested in pursuing opportunities in these cutting-edge technologies, reflecting the UK's reputation as a global leader in AI and the increasing appetite for AI-driven solutions among Taiwanese firms.
Additionally, the survey highlighted the growing interest in renewable energy collaboration between the two countries. Nearly two-thirds of Taiwanese companies (65%) expressed a desire to work with the UK in the renewable energy sector, underscoring the shared commitment to sustainability and the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The survey found that Taiwanese companies in the UK employ over 34,000 people, with an average of 334 employees per firm.
