Ukraine to Assist US and Allies in Countering Iranian Drones in Middle East
Ukraine's president says they will provide equipment and expertise to the US and its allies in the Middle East to help defend against Iran's Shahed drones, in return for diplomatic support against Russia.
Ukraine will be providing equipment and expertise to the United States and its allies in the Middle East to help them counter Iran's Shahed drones, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This comes as a reciprocal arrangement for the diplomatic support these countries have provided to Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia.
In a statement late on Wednesday, Zelenskyy revealed that various countries, including the US, have approached Ukraine for assistance in defending against the Iranian drones. He noted that he has spoken to the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait in recent days about possible cooperation in this regard.
