UN Denounces Tragic Deaths of Indonesian Peacekeepers in Lebanon

The United Nations has strongly condemned the recent killings of three Indonesian peacekeepers in Lebanon, calling for a thorough investigation into these tragic incidents.
The United Nations has expressed outrage and sorrow over the recent deaths of three Indonesian peacekeepers serving in Lebanon. In two separate incidents, these brave individuals lost their lives while carrying out their mission to maintain peace and stability in the region.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the attacks, stating that the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) plays a vital role in promoting security and stability in the area. He called for a swift and impartial investigation to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
The first incident occurred on June 15th, when two Indonesian peacekeepers were killed and one was injured in an attack on their vehicle in the town of Al-Aqbieh. Just a few days later, on June 18th, another Indonesian peacekeeper was killed in a separate attack in the village of Ighnaya.
