Valve Overhauls Counter-Strike 2's Iconic Reload Mechanic

After 25 years, Valve shakes up the beloved Counter-Strike series with a major reload system rework in the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 release.
For decades, Counter-Strike players have become accustomed to the familiar reload system, tapping the button whenever they have a safe moment to quickly top off their weapon's magazine. However, Valve has announced a significant overhaul to this iconic mechanic in the upcoming Counter-Strike 2.
In the current system, reloading in CS2 means dumping the remaining bullets in the magazine back into an endless reserve supply. But now, Valve is changing this, stating that hitting the reload button will instead make players drop the used magazine and discard all of its remaining ammo. A new full magazine will then be taken from the reserves whenever a reload is initiated.
