Vaping Duty Scheme Launches: UK Businesses Must Apply Now

UK businesses producing, importing or warehousing vaping products can now apply for Vaping Products Duty and Duty Stamp approvals, according to HMRC. Don't miss this crucial deadline.
Beginning today, the UK's HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is accepting applications from manufacturers, importers and warehousekeepers for the newly launched Vaping Products Duty and Vaping Duty Stamps Scheme. This marks a significant change in how the UK government regulates and taxes the rapidly growing vaping industry.
Under the new rules, any business involved in the production, import or storage of vaping products in the UK must obtain approval from HMRC and comply with the new duty and stamping requirements. Failure to do so could result in penalties, seizures and other enforcement actions.
The introduction of the Vaping Products Duty aims to create a level playing field and ensure fair taxation across the entire vaping supply chain. Businesses have a limited window to get their applications in and ensure they're operating within the new legal framework.
