Plot Summary: A Dark Fantasy in Edo Period Japan

Thirty-five years have passed since the legendary Battle of Sekigahara, and Japan's Edo period appears tranquil on the surface. However, this fragile peace shatters when a horrifying creature known as 'Gun-kyo'—a human-devouring monstrosity—begins terrorizing the countryside. The shogunate responds by burning entire villages where Gun-kyo sightings occur, ruthlessly suppressing any knowledge of the creature's existence.

The story centers on Orin, a former ninja who has abandoned her violent past to live peacefully with her stepdaughter. Her quiet life is shattered when she encounters Gun-kyo while searching for medicine, forcing her to confront the warrior within herself.
