Conservatives Divided on Trump-Era Economy at CPAC Conference

Conservatives at the annual CPAC conference in Texas had differing views on the state of the economy under former President Trump's policies, with some citing affordability as a major concern.
As the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) took place in Dallas, Texas, attendees expressed a range of opinions when asked about the current state of the economy under former President Donald Trump's policies. While some conservatives praised the economic performance during the Trump administration, others voiced concerns about rising costs of living and affordability.
One attendee, Jenna Smith, a 28-year-old from Florida, said, "Affordability is the biggest thing. Prices for everything have gone up, and it's really putting a strain on a lot of families." Smith's sentiment was echoed by several other conservatives who attended the conference.
In contrast, Michael Johnson, a 45-year-old from Texas, argued that the economy was stronger during the Trump presidency, saying, "Under Trump, we saw low unemployment, strong growth, and a booming stock market. I think a lot of conservatives are still proud of what he was able to accomplish economically."
