Alleged Terror Plot Targets NYC Mayor's Home: Two Charged

Two men face terror charges after a homemade bomb was thrown outside the NYC mayor's home. Police say one suspect wanted a larger attack than the Boston Marathon bombing.
Two individuals have been charged with terror-related offenses following an incident where a homemade bomb was thrown outside the home of New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The city's police commissioner revealed that one of the suspects had expressed a desire for the attack to be even more devastating than the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
Authorities were alerted to the suspicious package on the evening of January 29th, when a device was discovered on the sidewalk near the mayor's residence in Brooklyn. The New York Police Department's bomb squad quickly responded and determined the object was an improvised explosive device. No one was injured in the incident, and the mayor was not home at the time.
Following an investigation, two men were taken into custody and charged with terror-related crimes. The suspects, aged 23 and 40, were apprehended on February 1st and are now facing federal charges. While the motive behind the attack remains under investigation, police commissioner Keechant Sewell revealed that one of the suspects had expressed a desire to make the incident
