Comedy icons Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders are set to return to the stage together for the first time in 17 years, playing the iconic roles of the Ugly Sisters in the upcoming Cinderella pantomime at the London Palladium.
In an announcement on Tuesday, the beloved duo expressed their excitement about the opportunity, saying: "It won't be pretty, but we have wished to play the Ugly Sisters for so many years, it feels this is the fulfilment of a dream - a dream our hearts made."
The Cinderella pantomime, which will also feature the legendary Julian Clary, will mark the first time French and Saunders have shared the stage together since their last live tour in 2006. Fans have been eagerly anticipating a reunion for the comedy icons, who rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s with their groundbreaking sketch show.
