Databricks Acquires AI Startups to Bolster Security Offerings

Databricks, the data and AI company, has acquired two startups, Antimatter and SiftD.ai, to strengthen its AI-powered security solutions for enterprises.
In a strategic move to enhance its security capabilities, Databricks, the leading data and AI company, has announced the acquisition of two promising startups – Antimatter and SiftD.ai. This acquisition comes on the heels of Databricks' recent $5 billion fundraising round, which has given the company the resources to expand its product offerings and solidify its position in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.
Antimatter, a startup founded by former Google and Uber security experts, has developed innovative AI-powered security solutions that aim to detect and mitigate advanced threats in real-time. By integrating Antimatter's technology into its platform, Databricks will be able to provide its customers with enhanced threat detection and response capabilities, helping them stay one step ahead of cyber criminals.
In addition to the Antimatter acquisition, Databricks has also brought on board the team from SiftD.ai, a startup specializing in machine learning and natural language processing for security applications. The SiftD.ai team will join Databricks' security division, further bolstering the company's expertise in leveraging AI and data analytics to address the growing cybersecurity challenges faced by enterprises.
