Disability Transport Advocate Takes Interim Chair Role

DPTAC, the government's advisory committee on disabled transport needs, has appointed Sue Sharp as its new Interim Chair to lead critical accessibility initiatives.
The Department for Transport has announced the appointment of Sue Sharp as the Interim Chair of the Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee (DPTAC). DPTAC is the government's key advisory body that provides expert guidance on the transport requirements and challenges faced by disabled people across the UK.
In her new role, Sue Sharp will lead the committee in its mission to ensure that the transport system meets the diverse needs of all disabled passengers. As Interim Chair, she will work closely with DPTAC members and liaise with government officials to advocate for improved accessibility and inclusivity in all modes of public and private transportation.
