Motsinger alleges that while working as a server in 1972, Cosby drugged and raped her after giving her a glass of wine in his limousine. She filed the lawsuit after California amended its statutes of limitations, allowing accusers more time to bring sexual assault cases.
In remarks following the jury's verdict, Motsinger described the trial as a five-decade-long effort to hold Cosby accountable.
