Falling Public Etiquette Worries Germans as Tensions Arise

A new survey reveals most Germans feel public manners have declined, even as they consider themselves polite. Meanwhile, a dispute over fuel price relief roils the top of Europe's largest economy.
Germany is facing a concerning trend as a majority of its citizens believe public manners are deteriorating, according to a recent survey. The findings come amid growing tensions within the country's political and economic landscape.
The survey, conducted by the Allensbach Institute for Public Opinion Research, revealed that 54% of Germans feel people's behavior and manners have worsened in recent years. Interestingly, however, most respondents still consider themselves to be polite, with 87% rating their own etiquette as good or very good.
