The turbulent weather pattern began in the Great Lakes region and has since swept eastward, impacting areas from Ohio to Pennsylvania and Michigan. According to officials, around 346,000 customers were still without electricity as of Saturday, as utility crews worked tirelessly to restore power.
In Nebraska, the high winds have fueled several wildfires, further exacerbating the challenges faced by local communities. Firefighters have been battling the blazes, which have threatened homes and businesses in the affected areas.
