Former Capitol Rioter Runs for Texas State House, Backed by Trump Pardon

In a surprising move, a Texas political candidate pardoned by former President Trump for his role in the January 6th attack is now challenging a sitting state representative.
Larry Brock, a former Air Force officer who was imprisoned for his involvement in the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol, is making a bold move by running for a seat in the Texas State House of Representatives. Brock, who was pardoned by former President Trump for his crimes, is challenging incumbent State Representative Jared Patterson for the seat.
Brock's candidacy is a controversial one, as he was sentenced to two years in federal prison for unlawfully entering the Capitol building during the January 6th riots. Despite this, Brock maintains that he was simply exercising his right to peacefully protest the results of the 2020 presidential election, which he believes were fraudulent.
