The U.S. Justice Department has agreed to pay $1.25 million to settle a lawsuit filed by former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn, who claimed he was wrongfully prosecuted in the Russia investigation.
The settlement comes after Flynn was pardoned by former President Donald Trump in late 2020, ending his criminal case. Flynn had pleaded guilty in 2017 to lying to the FBI about his contacts with a Russian diplomat, but later sought to withdraw that plea.
