Middle East Crisis Intensifies: Hezbollah Rejects Lebanon-Israel Talks, US Naval Blockade Begins

Hezbollah opposes Lebanon-Israel talks, Trump claims Iran wants a deal as US enforces blockade on Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz.
Hezbollah, the influential Lebanese militant group, has vowed not to abide by any agreements that may result from the upcoming direct talks between Lebanon and Israel in the United States. Wafiq Safa, a high-ranking member of Hezbollah's political council, made this stance clear on the eve of the anticipated negotiations between the Lebanese and Israeli ambassadors to the US.
The talks, which the Shia group firmly opposes, come amidst heightening tensions in the Middle East. The US has also announced the start of a naval blockade on all Iranian ports along the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, a move that could further escalate the crisis. This waterway, which is responsible for the transport of around 20% of the global oil and gas supply, has now become the center of a geopolitical standoff.
