Outraged Citizens Dismantle Controversial Flock Surveillance Cameras

Across the United States, a growing number of citizens are taking matters into their own hands to remove controversial Flock Safety surveillance cameras from their neighborhoods. These cameras, marketed as a tool for improving public safety, have become a lightning rod for criticism due to the company's reported links to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In several cities, local governments have already moved to end their contracts with Flock over these concerns. However, in other communities, residents have grown impatient with the pace of official action and have resorted to dismantling the cameras themselves.
In Somerville, Massachusetts, for example, a group of activists recently removed a Flock camera that had been installed on a public street. The activists cited the company's alleged ties to immigration enforcement as the primary motivation for their actions.
