Prominent Jewish Leaders Urge Israeli President to Halt Attacks on Palestinians

Former British Foreign Secretary Malcolm Rifkind and over 3,000 signatories from the Jewish diaspora call on President Isaac Herzog to intervene and stop 'attacks by Jewish extremists' on Palestinians in the West Bank.
In a bold move, former British Foreign Secretary Malcolm Rifkind has joined forces with over 3,000 prominent members of the Jewish diaspora to urge Israeli President Isaac Herzog to intervene and stop the recent spate of attacks by Jewish extremists on Palestinian civilians in the West Bank.
The open letter, facilitated by the London Initiative – a liberal Zionist network of 360 influential Jewish, Israeli, and Israeli-Palestinian figures – has attracted signatories from across the globe, including diplomats, philanthropists, rabbis, and academics from Australia, Canada, Europe, South Africa, the UK, and the US.
The letter comes in the wake of a series of killings and arson attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinian civilians in March, which have drawn widespread condemnation.
