Protesters Face Charges for Minnesota Church Demonstration

The Trump administration has expanded charges against 30 additional individuals who participated in a protest at a Minnesota church against the administration's immigration policies.
Protesters are facing increased legal consequences for their involvement in a demonstration at a Minnesota church that opposed the Trump administration's immigration policies. The Department of Justice has announced charges against 30 more individuals who participated in the rally at Cities Church in St. Paul.
The original indictment, filed in August, accused 17 people of taking part in the protest. The new, expanded charges bring the total number of defendants to 47. Federal prosecutors allege the protesters disrupted church services and refused to leave when asked by church officials and law enforcement.
