The attack on the Beth Israel synagogue, which caused significant damage, is part of a deeply concerning trend that has seen a marked spike in hate crimes and threats targeting Jewish individuals and institutions.
According to data from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), antisemitic incidents in the U.S. reached an all-time high in 2021, with a 34% increase over the previous year. This includes a rise in physical assaults, vandalism, and online harassment and threats directed at Jewish people and Jewish-affiliated sites.
