Trans Activists Demand Inclusive Progress Flag at Stonewall

In a powerful act of protest, thousands of activists gathered outside the iconic Stonewall Inn last week to re-raise the rainbow Pride flag in defiance of the Trump administration's recent removal of the flag. The choice to display the traditional rainbow Pride flag, rather than the newer Progress pride flag which includes additional symbols for trans and BIPOC identities, was seen by many as an erasure of the hard-won rights and visibility of transgender individuals.
