UK Police Reverse Stance on Palestine Action Protests

London's Met Police backtrack on their previous easing of arrests for Palestine Action protesters following a court ruling against the protest ban.
In a surprising reversal, the London Metropolitan Police have announced that they will once again be arresting Palestine Action protesters, despite a recent High Court ruling that the ban on their demonstrations was unlawful. This move comes just weeks after the police had eased their stance on the pro-Palestinian activist group, following the court's decision.
The Palestine Action group, which has staged numerous high-profile protests targeting companies they claim are complicit in Israel's treatment of Palestinians, had celebrated the High Court's ruling as a major victory for their right to free expression. However, the Metropolitan Police have now stated that they will be enforcing the dispersal of protests and making arrests if necessary, claiming that the demonstrations pose a risk to public order.
