The United Kingdom has strongly condemned the ongoing human rights abuses in Myanmar and called for immediate action to address the dire situation in the country. Delivering a statement during the Interactive Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on Myanmar at the 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council, the UK's Human Rights Ambassador, Eleanor Sanders, denounced the military's continued violence against civilians and urged for accountability and a restoration of democracy.
