The search for McCasland, who has served in the Air Force for over three decades, is being conducted by local law enforcement authorities as well as the New Mexico State Police and the FBI. Investigators have not revealed any details about McCasland's disappearance or provided information about potential suspects or motives.
According to Lieutenant Commander Levi Cave, a spokesperson for the Air Force, the service is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. "General McCasland is a highly respected and dedicated officer who has served our country with distinction," Cade said in a statement. "We are deeply concerned about his wellbeing and are doing everything we can to assist the authorities in locating him."
