Convicted Rapist Taxi Driver Faces Longer Prison Term

A taxi driver who recorded himself raping a vulnerable passenger over several years has had his sentence increased after the Solicitor General intervened.
In a landmark legal case, a taxi driver who systematically raped and recorded his attacks on a vulnerable passenger has been handed a significantly longer prison sentence. The decision came after the Solicitor General intervened, arguing that the original sentence was too lenient given the severity and sustained nature of the driver's horrific crimes.
The driver, who cannot be named to protect the identity of his victim, had been convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting the passenger over a period of several years while transporting them in his taxi. Disturbingly, the driver had also filmed the brutal attacks, further compounding the trauma experienced by the victim.
