Environmental Agency Secures £430k for Water Restoration Efforts

Imerys Minerals Limited pays £430,000 to the West Country Rivers Trust to improve water quality and support fish migration after multiple pollution incidents.
Imerys Minerals Limited, a leading industrial minerals company, has agreed to pay £430,000 to the West Country Rivers Trust as part of an enforcement undertaking. This significant financial contribution will be used to restore water quality and improve fish migration in affected areas, following multiple pollution incidents attributed to Imerys' operations.
The Environment Agency (EA), the government body responsible for environmental protection in England, has secured this substantial investment from Imerys. The funds will enable the West Country Rivers Trust, a charitable organization dedicated to the conservation and enhancement of the region's waterways, to undertake vital restoration and improvement projects.
